The resort is beautiful, the pools are great, and the rooms are comfy and well kept. The staff has varying levels of English-speaking skills with few being fluent , so knowing some Spanish helped tremendously. The food was just OK. Plenty of variety but quality was average. The restaurants were mostly good, but we couldn't make reservations until we checked in, and by that time most places we wanted to go to were fully booked.
That being said, we just showed up at the Italian place one day and they let us in right away. You also have to confirm all excursions at guest services after check-in, even if you booked them in advance. Stayed in family room, which was ideal for us. We traveled with year-old sons. Participated in excursions arranged thru Delta vacations. Friendly, conscientious staff that worked extremely hard to meet our needs.
